Guildhall Shopping Centre , or simply “Guildhall” to the locals is located in the heart of Exeter and comprises an indoor shopping centre featuring household names such as Sainsburys and Primark plus an outdoor public space “Market Square” and dining area located just off Queen Street. Our Queen Street entrance is set within Charles Fowler’s neo-classical façade, which has been lovingly and painstakingly restored.
Three public spaces within the original building have been re-invented, including Market Square, which sits at the heart of this premium dining destination. Bordered by amphitheatre-style seating areas, and overlooking the stunning 13th-century St Pancras Church, the cafés and restaurants spill out, continental style, onto the modernised square home to regular artisan food markets, spectacular events and live entertainment.

Wherever you are travelling from, by road, train, bus or air, Exeter and Guildhall Shopping Centre are easy to get to.
Guildhall is located in the heart of the city with Exeter Central station a 2-minute walk away, as is Exeter bus and coach station located in Paris Street, with Exeter St Davids station just 10 minutes away.
Exeter has two main train stations located within easy distance to the city centre. Exeter St David’s is the main hub, providing links to most major cities across the UK. Exeter Central is the closest station to the High Street and connects all of Exeter’s surrounding areas to the city. Great Western Railway, South West Trains, Cross Country and Virgin all provide frequent services to and from Exeter.
Stagecoach South West offer frequent services throughout Exeter and its surrounding areas. Three major Park and Ride services are also available at Honiton Road, Sowton and Matford. All are clearly signposted and operate 6 days a week. Honiton Road also operates on Sundays. Honiton Road and Sowton car parks are open from 06:00hrs – 24:00hrs, Matford until 19:30hrs.
Exeter International Airport is just a few miles out of Exeter and is easily reached by car and bus via the A30 heading West.

Parking is available through the adjoining Guildhall pay on exit, multi-storey car park. The payment system requires the driver to pay at one of the payment machines located within the car park, at the end of their stay, before returning to their vehicle and exiting.

Toilets are located on the first floor plus a baby change and baby feeding area. Additional toilets are located via Corry Walk in Higher Market. We also have a disabled and baby change washroom facility at ground floor level on Waterbeer Street.

Guildhall Shopping Centre is a multi-level shopping complex, however we have three public lifts and accessible entrances on the ground floor. The majority of our stores are on the ground floor, with a smaller number on the first floor. At ground floor, all level changes are made by appropriate gradient changes, with handrails where necessary. Access to the first floor is by lift only and there are two general customer lifts in the main mall, and a general customer lift and one specific mobility platform in the dining area.
There are 20 disabled parking spaces in the adjacent car park, please note these are chargeable and the Guildhall centre management team do not manage the car park area.
There are two sets of accessible toilet facilities, one at the first floor in Higher Market (available from 09.30 to 17.30), and one at street level (07.30 to 18.30) available via the push button system linked to the Centre. We do not use the RADAR key system

Guildhall has a 24-hour security provision, seven days a week with CCTV operating throughout the centre for the comfort and safety of our customers. All our security officers are fully enhanced first aid trained and we have three defibrillators on site.
If you have lost an item at the Centre, please contact the security team at 01392 202757. Please note unclaimed items are donated to charity after three months.
